Opportunities

Postdoctoral Research Associates: We seek Ph.D. level biophysicists or biologists to work on morphogenesis using a multidisciplinary approach to prepare and analyze specimens using high-resolution microscopy. Successful applicants will have demonstrated excellence in some combination of microscopy, molecular/cell/developmental biology, genetics or biophysics with the ability to apply their skills to experimental methods that address fundamental questions in developmental biology. Applicants should send a CV and cover letter to dkiehart[at]duke.edu.

Graduate Research Assistants: We are recruiting graduate students! Students in our lab have the opportunity to gain expertise in a wide range of experimental approaches within the study of developmental biology: genetics and genomics, molecular biology, microscopy, computational biology and biophysics. The Kiehart lab is highly collaborative and interacts extensively within the scientific community at Duke and the surrounding Research Triangle area. Incoming or current students with an interest in the lab should email dkiehart[at]duke.edu.

Undergraduate Research Assistants: We have research positions available for undergraduate students studying Biology, Math, Physics and Computer Science in independent study and work-study positions. Several of our undergraduates have published their research – including first author papers! Interested students should send their resume and a brief description of their scientific interests and previous experience to dkiehart[at]duke.edu.
